Burhan, Pakistan

Burhan is a village in Attock District of Punjab, Pakistan. It is famous for the Asia's largest Motorway Interchange M1 motorway (Pakistan) located here. It also lies on the N-5 National Highway.

It is a beautiful village in Pakistan surrounded by Haro River in the North and green Loiset Mountains in the South. The population is approximately 25000. It is a typical agricultural village, however a number of people work for local transporters, glass factories, cotton factories and the Ordinance Factory in Wah Cantt. There is a pair of Punjab-government-run high schools for girls and boys, as well as a number of private schools.

Burhan Motorway M1 Interchange

Pakistan's M1 Motorway's first Interchange is situated at Village Burhan, Ilaqa Jallo. The interchange is said to be the largest in Asia.

Darbaar Shareef Burhan

The most prominent building in Burhan village is the mosque of Darbaar Shareef Burhan [1] which stands out as a beacon built in white. It was completed in 1952 by Late Faqeer Muhammad Mushtaq who was a great sufi.
